How to Apply for Shelter If you or your family are in need of a place to stay, please follow these steps to get connected with our services:
Step 1: Contact Us & Apply — Call us directly at 715-736-2437 to complete an initial interview over the phone, or use the "Application for Services" button below to submit your information online.
Step 2: Screening & Meeting — Once your application is received, you will need to meet with our Case Manager to discuss your eligibility and current room openings.
Step 3: Intake Coordination — If your application is approved and a room becomes available, the Case Manager will contact you to schedule a specific date and time for your intake.
Please Note: Completing an application does not guarantee an immediate spot. Acceptance is based on room availability and meeting program requirements. We encourage you to apply anyway to get connected to other local resources and support.
Arrival & Security Guidelines To ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, the following rules apply:
Luggage Limit: Guests are strictly limited to 2 bags per person.
Security Search: All bags will be searched upon entry to the facility.
No Weapons: No weapons of any kind are allowed on the premises.
Zero Tolerance: Benjamin's House is a zero-tolerance facility regarding the possession or use of drugs and alcohol.
Misconduct: In the case of gross misconduct, a resident may be dismissed immediately from the program.
Eligibility & Residency Details
Age Requirement: Each household must be headed by an adult at least 18 years of age.
Safety Policy: Individuals deemed to be a danger to themselves, others, or the property are not candidates for residency.
Length of Stay: Stays are for a period of up to 90 days, with progress evaluations at 30 and 60 days.
Returning Residents: Repeat admissions may reapply 90 days after their most recent stay and must provide a letter explaining their plan for a successful outcome.
