Important Information for Residents: All potential residents must be pre-screened prior to being accepted into our program. Individuals in need of services through Benjamin's House should read the following information regarding our policies and then call 715-736-2437 with any questions and to complete and Initial Interview with our staff. Individuals Ineligible for Residency
Candidates with significant criminal history may be ineligible.
Individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs may not be admitted
Individuals who are deemed by the executive director or case manager to be a danger to themselves, others, or the property are not candidates for residency.
Each household must be headed by an adult who is at least 18 years of age.
Services Provided
When there is a scheduled meal volunteer, evening meals are provided and are served family-style. All other meals are self-serve.
An individual case plan will be completed under the guidance of a case manager.
Referrals to community agencies will be made as needed.
Intake Procedures
An initial intake phone or in-person interview will be conducted by a staff person to determine eligibility and priority assignment.
An intake application will be completed along with all other intake paperwork.
Rules and regulations will be reviewed and agreements signed.
Resident stay at Benjamin's House is for a period of up to 90 days. Progress is evaluated at 30 and 60 days.
Repeat admissions must first write a letter to the Case Manager explaining the changes that will be made during the second stay that will allow for a successful outcome.
Consequences for Violations of Shelter Program Rules
Benjamin's House is a zero tolerance facility. Resident's found to be in possession or use of drugs or alcohol may be dismissed from the program.
If a resident is found in violation of any of the program rules, they will be issued a written warning. Multiple infractions may result in dismissal from the program.
In the case of gross misconduct, the resident may be dismissed immediately from the program.
