A Story About Cynthia

December 2022, I arrived at the Benjamin's House with my two children, ages 11 and 16. We were all scared and didn't know what the next steps were going to be. Domestic violence is what caused us to come to the Benjamin's House, and thanks to the wonderful staff, we adjusted quickly.

The staff at the Benjamin's House will always have a special place in my heart. I have become a more confident mom, and my kids are opening up and sleeping better at night. I have watched my kids go from sleeping curled up in balls to being stretched out and sleeping through the night. I understand that it is due to the effort I have put in, but I would not have come this far without the support of the staff.
When I was struggling, they were there for me anytime, day or night. I will always be grateful for the support and the friends I have made along the way. You guys are truly special, and with your help, I have achieved a dream that I have struggled for a long time to achieve. I would like to give a special thank you to Jordanne, Heidi, Geni, and Dominic, as they have truly been the rock and my kids' confidants.
Again, I will always be grateful for the staff here at the Benjamin's House.
